As legacy, multi-generational Delta farmland owners, managers and operators, we have a broad and extensive base of knowledge, experience and expertise in the industry. That background and perspective gives us a good, in-depth understanding of agriculture in the Delta/Mid-South region and its sub-markets.

Trey Hayden, Principal

Hayden grew up on a centennial family farm in the Mississippi River Delta and is a fifth-generation owner of the farm. He has over 40 years of experience in land management, brokerage, development and construction. Prior to starting Delta Land Advisory, Hayden worked for Ritter Agribusiness in Marked Tree, AR, where he managed Ritter’s farmland portfolio, as well as the farmland portfolios of numerous clients. Prior to joining Ritter, Hayden worked for Farmers National Company, where he managed a large portion of the Delta farmland portfolio of AgCoA, one of the largest institutional farmland investors in America.

Hayden obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi, then completed extensive coursework in the Graduate Master's Program in Business at The University of Memphis, with a concentration in Finance. He holds the Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation as a member of the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA). In addition, he holds the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation as a member of the Realtors Land Institute (RLI).

Troma Jones, Agricultural Advisor

Jones is a fourth-generation farmland owner and retired operator with over 65 years of experience as a successful farmer in the Mississippi River Delta. He also was co-owner and manager of a cotton gin and a seed, fertilizer and chemical business for many years. Jones served multiple terms as Chairman of the FSA County Committee and on the board of directors of the Southern Cotton Ginners Association.

Jones Hayden, Agricultural Advisor

Hayden is a sixth-generation operator of a centennial family farm in the Mississippi River Delta. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Tennessee at Martin and has over ten years of successful farming experience.
